A Proud History

For half a century, the Riverland 8-Ball Association has provided a place where players of all skill levels can come together to compete, socialise, and enjoy the game.

Over the years our Association has:

• Hosted hundreds of competition seasons

• Supported thousands of local players

• Produced players who have represented the Riverland at state and national level

• Built strong partnerships with local clubs and venues

• Created lifelong friendships within our community

The strength of our Association has always been the people behind it — players, volunteers, committee members, venues, and supporters.

Riverland 8-Ball Association Inc – 50 Year Anniversary Season Update

2026 marks a significant milestone for the Riverland 8-Ball Association Inc as we celebrate 50 years of 8-Ball in the Riverland.

This season is not only about competition on the tables but also recognising the people, clubs, volunteers, sponsors, and members who have helped shape our Association over the last five decades.

The Committee and sub-groups have been working hard behind the scenes to make this year one to remember and we would like to provide members and the wider community with an update on where planning currently sits.

Exhibition Match Confirmed

We are excited to confirm that Jake McCartney has officially been locked in for the 2026 Exhibition Match.

This will be one of the highlight events of our anniversary celebrations and we thank Glen and everyone involved in helping secure this opportunity for our members and supporters.

Riverland Field Days

The Association has officially secured a site at the Riverland Field Days.

Communication has commenced with surrounding Associations and stakeholders as we continue planning how to best showcase our sport and celebrate 50 years of Riverland 8-Ball.

Presentation Night / Cabaret Venue Confirmed

After exploring venue options due to Berri Town Hall being unavailable, we are pleased to announce that the Lyrup Club has now been locked in to host the 2026 Presentation Night and Cabaret.

This venue provides:

- Capacity for approximately 200 guests inside and additional outdoor space

- Dance floor and room for live entertainment

- Projector and lighting facilities

- Bar operations managed by the Club

- Venue organisation and cleaning support

The Association has also worked with Salt & Pepper Catering who will assist with catering arrangements through access to kitchen facilities and venue support.

Securing the venue early allows the Committee to now progress planning around entertainment, presentations, catering, ticketing, and overall event experience.

There is still plenty happening behind the scenes as we continue to work through:

- Sponsorship opportunities

- Merchandise

- Anniversary celebrations

- Historical recognition

- Promotion and media opportunities

- Member engagement throughout the season

This season represents more than just 8-Ball — it is a celebration of 50 years of friendships, competition, volunteers, and community.
